Carpet and door sills easily soiled
I have a 2014 RX 450h with parchment (beige) interior. The carpet is very easily soiled and very hard to clean. My wife spilled some coffee and the stain was VERY difficult to remove -- by a professional. Additionally, the door sills show scuff marks from shoes very easily. Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions on how to protect the carpet and door sills?

I've had this light colored interior in my Lexus vehicles since 2004 and don't have any issues keeping it looking nice.
First off I don't allow coffee or soda drinking in my vehicles. Bottled water is fine and my drink of choice when I am driving. If you eat and drink in a vehicle you're going to experience issues. I can't tell you how many really grubby vehicles I've had to detail. Some were beyond disgusting and required steam to bring back.
Secondly, I use All-weather matts. They are darker in color and spilled coffee likely wouldn't show on them.
Third, I clean the sills with Meguiar's M40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner and I apply Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax (a.k.a. D-156 Synthetic Xpress Spray Wax) as a protective sealant. If I encounter a stubborn stain I'll use Meguiar's M39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner.
Finally, carpet stain cleaning is usually done with Folex. I spray with 303 Fabric Protector after cleaning.
