I have Opti-coat 2.0 on my car. Reload lasts about 3 months, and Hydro2 lasts maybe 1.5 months. This is all during the summer. I get a month longer on each product during the winter.

GSteg, thanks. Lol, I have Opticoat 2.0 and Hydro2 last 1.5 months for me too. Reload has been on like 3 weeks and I'm still counting

I'm convinced that Opticoat decrease the sealant durability by half. I think Hydro2 claims 3 months and Reload claims 6 months durability? And your results is exactly half of that lol.

UV hits pretty hard here in the summer (Socal). 3 months is probable if I lived in Montana.

GSteg, I live in Socal too and my cars are parked 24/7 outside being attacked not only by sun, rain, but also bird bombs too. Yet, I still manage to make them shine like showroom status anytime and anywhere

Thanks to all the people in this detailing forum especially Zach who shares so much tips and product recommendation on car detailing.

Sounds like you WAY over applied. A 100mL bottle will do 3-4 cars easily for me.

hmm even the wheels? I put it to the 3 to 1 portion on the detailed image spray bottle and filled with distilled water then when i start to run out I refilled it with the remainder of the hydro2 maybe 1oz. I still have a little left.

Yes, wheels, paint, and glass... 100mL of concentrated product should easily do 2 large vehicles, and will likely do 3 cars just fine. You only need a very fine mist of product. Over application does nothing except waste product.

I'll remember that next time. I think I went over the wheels and hood twice! Might be my sprayer too!

We're so used to spraying more because it's hard to believe a single squirt can do the job. Buy yourself a big bottle next time.

Is there such a thing as over doing it? I just sealed my 15'GS350 Fsport with Menzerna sealer and Zymol wax and was looking to pick up a bottle of Reload. Should I wait a couple months to use the Reload or I'm good to use it now? Thanks guys.

It's best to apply it to clean paint. It's probably not going to bond very well because of the wax you have on there now. Personally, I would rather use Reload than wax. It holds up better to chemicals, more durable, and feels slick enough that you probably wouldn't miss wax.

I believe you can layer them and Corey from Carpro also said it is ok. I actually layer Reload on top of Hydro2 before Hydro2 runs out on 1 car. It works out fine.

On another car, my paint has Opticoat > Hydro2 > Chemical Guy EZ Creme Glaze > Reload. Yep overkill but I like that Reload is still holding strong after 3 weeks.

FWIW, the streaks on mine lasted for 3 months. I finally had to use a light swirl remover and polish them off.

Interesting. Do you have a coating on the paint?

OptiCoat 2.0. The streaking was on my rear bumper, rear window, and left front fender. Despite time, numerous washes and QD applications, it just didn't come off. Even an amonia based Windex product couldn't get it off the rear window. I had to polish it all off. No problems since then, including new applications of the product. It was crazy.

That is crazy. I have Opticoat 2.0 too and streak from Reload, stain from bird bombs all disappear in a few weeks like magic. What I learn is that the sun uv rays break down the stain or whatever streak. Are your car parked outside and exposed to sun 24/7 like mine?

I don't have streak with Hydro2, only Reload on a dark blue car though. No streak whatover on a white car.
