I don't have streak with Hydro2, only Reload on a dark blue car though. No streak whatover on a white car.
No, I'm in Seattle. We don't have sun in February.

But otherwise, no, it sits in my garage at home or my work parking lot.

Figures, got my Reload today and the bottom of the bottle is cracked and was leaking. Hopefully Detailed Image will send me another.

Does Reload need to be diluted or spray right out of the bottle?

DI will gladly help you out... If you have any trouble, let me know and I'll help to get you a new bottle.

Reload does not need to be diluted, however it can be to make the product more economical. If you're using it as a stand alone sealant, I'd use it full strength. If you're using it as a topper or if you use it regularly, I'd dilute it 1:1 or 2:1 (distiller waterroduct).

Appreciate the quick reply Zach. Was about to head out and wash my car before the sun comes up. I just sealed and waxed last weekend, think I'll get any streaking with Reload at full strength?

The Reload formula was tweaked (in 2014) to provide a stronger, more durable layer of protection. With this change in the formula, streaking is more of a concern unfortunately (2014 V1). While some users do not report any issues, others see streaking, however this can be minimized by diluting, or by wiping with a damp towel followed by a dry towel. A 2nd tweak (2014 V2) was later released to help make the product easier to use.

hi Zach. How do we know if we have v1 or v2?

Not much of V1 was shipped once the streaking issue was brought up... Every bottle should have a date on it, you can contact CarPro for better data on when exactly V2 was manufactured. I don't have that info personally.

I think v2 was released in late 2014 particularly in October.

Just tried the Hydr02 this morning after my car wash and it worked like a charm! Results were exactly in the video you see in the original post. I sprayed it on small sections at a time and then quickly sprayed it off with a pressure washer.

You can quickly see the water just start beading off the car. I used an 8oz bottle (1:3 mix) and still have some left. I am very happy with the results and will continue using it.

how does hydr02 compare with the traditional sealants? is the ease of use the only advantage to this product or is it really that efficient in terms of protection?

The silica based formula is very chemical resistant. It provides a glossy finish that is more characteristic of a coating (ie a 'hard candy' type of look), beads and sheets water very well, and is very quick to use.

Traditional sealants are also good, but the main advantage to hydro2 is the time savings... You can seal the paint, wheels, and glass in 10-15 minutes during your car wash where there is much more time involved with using a traditional liquid sealant.

Not everyone needs the time savings though, so if you enjoy the traditional method, stick to it

Forgot to post how much I like the Reload. By far one of the best products I have used. Love the slickness that it leaves and how much the water runs off the car when washing.

I was hoping it would help keep the dust down on the surface of the car here in dry So Cal but doesn't seem to..
