Agreed, the Costco towels are made in China. I would not use any microfiber towels on your soft Lexus paint that are made in China as there have been many people who have said China made towels have scratched their car's paint.

Not sure what your asking but I think what your asking is where do you buy these microfiber towels. You get them at the rag company. Jus type in The rag Company into Google and the links will come up.
They were even nice enough to send me to extra microfibers with my order.

Its no secret that a lot of microfiber is actually the same and is simply rebranded for different retailers... detailed image carries many towels that appear to be identical to several that are already mentioned. Just an FYI since I know plenty of us order from DI already
Double Thick Edgeless Towel
DI Edgeless Towel
Black & Yellow Towel (I have TONS of these... love them)
ReThickulous (1400GSM) Towel
and don't forget to pick up some Micro Restore Microfiber Detergent
Double Thick Edgeless Towel

Black & Yellow Towel (I have TONS of these... love them)
ReThickulous (1400GSM) Towel
and don't forget to pick up some Micro Restore Microfiber Detergent

Would you please extrapolate on which of those MFs you use for which detailing task? THANKS!!

This has not been my experience. Costco may have several different suppliers explaining your warning. The ones I have purchased work just fine on delicate paint. Before use, I washing them in a machine using Micro-Restore and a vinegar rinse. Twice before use. Dry in a machine on low heat. Wash and dry once, inspect and remove labels if present, wash and dry again. This is my practice with all new microfiber towels.

Some of my common uses for the towels I have...
Drying: Waffle Weave
Polish Removal: Black & Yellow
Rinseless Washing: Rethickulous
Wheels & Exhaust Tips: Black All Purpose
Interior Misc: Green All Purpose
Glass: Glass Towel
Let me know if you've got any other questions.

The costco yellow ones are a great deal especially for the money. Are the the 'best'? No idea, What do you consider the best? I am sure there are better quality MF towels out there…Maybe ones that cost $10 each are the 'best'. But bang for the buck?..Costco. Use them a time or two for finish work and relegate them to lesser precise work (interior, wheels, etc), the garage rags, then the trash can. I've used them for years and have had no issues and have no swirls, etc in my paint.

i only use costco MF towels to clean my kitchen counters, mirrors etc. anything that comes in contact with your paint will scratch it.... especially OB Lexus paint, i had an OB GS F Sport. love the car but i will never buy another black car. run a new costco towel across your hand, if it catches your skin, then it shouldn't be used on your paint. a master detailer that detailed my OB GS, applied 3 diff coatings on that car and complained about the softness of the paint and that wiping it with MF towels caused scratches... true story...
