Default Water-less Car Wash?

Does anyone know anything about how legit waterless car washes are? One of my neighbors was telling me about how effective and convienent they are. This is what he uses:

Does anyone else use this?

Eh....

I'm not a fan of spray on "waterless car washes". If you want to use a low water car wash I would select Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax.

I agree. I use ONR in the winter months in my garage and have been very pleased.

Optimum No Rinse. http://www.optimumcarcare.com/onrwns.php

It's widely regarded as the best low water washing system.

LOL, you'll get used to the acronyms. It's a forum thing.

I just bought 32oz of ONR. It'll be my first time trying but I need to get the car washed and polished prior to putting PPF on full bumper, full hood, full fender, a-pillar, roof line, door cups & rear bumper ledger. I'm assuming I don't have to clay or compound the new car.

People have been telling me about swirls dealer would put on the car when they prep the car for delivery so I told my dealer not to buff the car and even wash unless it's touch-less and air dry.

Did anyone get their car with swirls when they took delivery?

Yep, my Obsidian came with a slightly marred right front fender. Otherwise the paint is perfect. I'm not to concerned because the car is a short term lease and I definitely will be returning it when the lease is over. Big time remorse for leasing a 250 instead of the 350.

I have obsidian and saw no swirls in my car. The surface was mirror clear, thankfully!

What about a "touch less" car wash that you drive through? Is that going to cause damage?

No, they just don't get the car very clean. They also have harsh chemicals that strip wax.

If you do polish and opti-coat 2.0 on your car then you can just go through touch-less car wash to get most if not all the dirt off. See this video.

waterless sounds cool but for the amount of money and time it takes to clean a car waterless, you can wash a bout 5-10 times more with water. plus that **** is expensive and not worth it if you live in northern weathered areas

Glad to hear. Do you know if your dealer buffed and waxed your car for delivery? I've told my dealer not to because all the detailer I've talked to said "don't let the dealer touch your car".

When I get the car I plan to:
- Wash (hand wash in my garage after I go through the touch-less)
- Clay (not sure if this is needed)
- Componund (not sure if this is needed)
- Polish
- Opti-Coat 2.0

The problem is that in the winter a lot of people can't wash a car with water. Some people don't have access to a hose at all year round. A product like ONR is really cheap because you use so little, and you can wash a car in your garage or wherever with one gallon of water.
