Default Touch Up Paint - New 2013 ES350 - Sewell vs. Dr. Colorchip

Hi Guys-

I've got a really small knick on the front hood already since I do a lot of freeway driving (so-cal). Can anyone recommend a touch up stick or paint? I've read in other forums about Dr. Color Chip and Sewell.

Dr. Color Chip:
http://www.drcolorchip.com/store/bas...repair-kit.php

Sewell:

http://lexus.sewellparts.com/accesso...2013/3270.html

Which one should I get? I should mention the color of my vehicle is Obsidian (Black).

Dr. Colorchip tends to have better results... but it is more expensive... so I will refer to the saying "you get what you pay for" for this particular scenario.

Yeah Dr.Colorchip would be a better choice. The pen and brush in the oem touch up bottles are terrible, if you do use those I would advise buying a very thin paint brush for more control.

I tried both. The OEM pen did not color match well when dry. It was a bit lighter due to the orientation of the metallic particles.

Dr. Colorchip matched perfectly. It was also easier to apply.

Its really hit or miss. When I had my Truffle Mica ES the Dr Color Chip paint matched great. Ordered it for my Liquid Platinum GS...didn't match at all and the OEM paint matches better. Dr Color Chip doesn't match our Jeep very well either...
