bird dropping on hood - mess and scratches!
Long story short....
Saw few days old bird droppings on the car, without even thinking about it, I wetted a soft cloth towel and tried to scrape off the hardened dropping. BAD Idea!....
Not only I see a quarter size leftover mark but several scratches in an area of 5" diameter...
Right above the headlight on the hood and looks horrible. Can't get rid of the scratches....
What to do...help?
Sorry, but this is for my Bimmer...

You might run to Walmart and pick up some Meguiar's Scratch Remover or Ultimate Compound and a couple applicators, foam and micro-fiber.
Use as directed and expect to need several passes. You may or may not be able to remove all the marring but it should look much better. Rub firmly, evenly and vigorously to remove the scratches. Don't use too much product and change the pad if it gets too wet.
Or, since this is a new car I'd probably suggest taking it to a local detailer who has a machine polisher and let him correct the damage.
If this is a common occurrence where you live and park you might want to keep a bottle of quick detailer and a few microfiber towels in the car. Remove bird droppings promptly to avoid damage and etching of the paint.
