Default How to get Scratches out of Window

So It looks like some one took a key to my window. There are 4 scratches about 4-5 inches long. One quite deep. How the hell do I get them out. Can I use my flex with a really aggressive pad and compound and work my way down.

I don't think someone keyed your window. All the scratches seem to be an equal distance from each other. I think at some point your wiper blades failed and the metal from them scratched the window. Same thing happened to my sons car when the blade poped out.

That would be a smart comment if it was my windshield, but seeing as its my driver-side rear window thats not possible.

Did a quick search on Google for you buddy: http://www.ehow.com/how_4487552_get-...ar-window.html

http://www.essortment.com/yourself-r...hes-12056.html

Can't really tell you if it works or not since I haven't done this myself so do it at your own risk. I would try it on a smaller scratch first before working on a bigger/deeper scratch. If this doesn't work out for you I'm sure there is a shop out there that can give you a hand.

Best decision in your case. We can all blurt out the info we want but unless you can properly do it, then it won't have much effect. I've done glass polishing in the past with cerium oxide powder I believe. Worked alright but took forever. Just have patience when you watch or if they let you do it and you'll be fine
