Soft Tonneau Cover/Convertible top care...
I recently purchased a new soft tonneau for my '11 Ram from Mopar Accessories. I asked the guy at the dealer what was the best product to use to maintain and he tried to sell me a bottle of Mopar brand Soft Tonneau protectant at $55 a bottle.
I said "No thanks" and went on about my day.
A week later, I am wondering again, what the best product would be to accomplish this task. This cover is made from Fabric, not vinyl. It is the same exact fabric that BMW etc make their Soft Tops for the convertibles out of. I am assuming I can use the same product for this cover as one would use for a Ragtop.
Any suggestions fellas?

Friend of mine exclusively uses StarBrite sail and cover cleaner. It's cheaper than RaggTopp, and it's about the same product. He said he was talking with the guy at the boat shop, and they sell tons of it to car guys and tonneau cover owners since they're essentially the same if they're not a vinyl top. The material is more canvas than vinyl, right? If so, then the sail cleaner will work just fine. It's about $12, so cheaper than RT, too.
If you don't want to have a ready made one, Woolite® can also be used to clean tops, but it's not nearly as easy since that's more of a "keep it clean" product than "make it clean." For maintenance, Woolite®, for regular cleanings, StarBrite.

Its not vinyl, its ragtop fabric...really I just want to be able to keep it clean and protected from the elements. At $750, I need it to last as long as the truck. LOL!
