Default Overspray+time=Bad?

Hey, quick question. I have a ton of overspray all over my car. I have not been home long enough for the past month to take it to get detailed. I know leaving the overspray paint on for too long is bad but HOW BAD is it? Will it still be able to come off?

only one way to find out.....

get a claybar and have at it. if a fine grade doesn't do the trick, you might need to get a medium/aggressive grade clay bar and polish the car afterwards.

Dont worry about the time. You can remove the overspray with lacquer thinner and a micro fiber towel, then buff out the area with extra cut compound followed by a stage 2 polish, and lastly a stage 3 microfine glaze.

I'd suggest claybar over this method first. The types of clay - fine, medium, heavy - are more than enough to remove overspray. Just start with the least abrasive and you should do fine. Most of the time, Fine clay will do the job quite nicely. I've never encountered a car that needed the Heavy version thankfully

If its localized a fine grade detailers clay should remove it. If its covered four or more panels I'd look into the speedy prep towel. (Google “Nanoskin Surface Prep Towel” )
