I use this (mainly because I found it in my garage):

http://www.turtlewax.com/product-detail.aspx?prodid=57

Its foaming, so I dab a bit on my finger, and rub on the stain softly. Don't use the included bristle head, its too harsh. Wipe away with dry towel. Works great on what I think was either a exploded cola drink, or ketchup. Take a break after a few times cleaning because your neck will hurt after a while.

What about ash on the A pillars? Cigarette hit it a couple times... Didn't burn it. Just left some ash marks on it. I need to stop smoking in my car

I got some spots after taking my car to the dealer; I used water and some dish washing soap (that's gentle on your hands :-) and damp paper towel; that worked for me.

A lot of detailers like to use a brand called folix, you can find it in home depot in the commercial carpet cleaning section or near paints for the small spray bottle.

Lightly mist it, let it sit for a min. Lightly mist again and dab it with a clean terry towel. Most stains will come right off. I would spray and dab/wipe down the whole head liner

Default Headliner-

if there are areas where your head touches the ceiling you will probably notice that these areas accumulate dirt and the like because of the oils that come from your hair and your skin that are now on the headliner.

Vacuum the headliner making sure you apply pressure, but not too much. Not only can you set the stains in this way, you may tear what can be very fragile upholstery if you press too hard. Vacuum thoroughly to make sure that you get all of the loose dust fragments

Cleaning - Duragloss 451 Fabric & Carpet Cleaner Aerosol Foam (FC) is a blend of surfactants, which gently foam away soil, oil and grease from fabric and carpet surfaces. Spot cleaning can be done without leaving rings on fabrics, carpet and velour.

Use Dr Joe dedicated Lint-Free 100% Cotton Blue Huck Surgical Towels, using very light pressure and wipe the headliner following the cleaning with the water based cleaner (do not soak or use hot water on the headliner fabric as it may delaminate) Dry by blotting with a clean, dry surgical huck towel

Thanks for the tips guys. I used Folex as described above and it worked wonders on the stains on my headliner from my infant coughing up food/drinks while sitting in her car seat

Before

Immediately after Folex

After the Folex completely dries, i'll brush the headliner so there's no marks in it...
