Wrinkle’s - similar to a paints clear coat, upholstery urethane is classified as a semi-solid permeable membrane, being a thermosetting polymer (elastomers) it remains flexible while retaining its tensile strength, to enable it to expand and contract, following the temperature fluctuations (elasticity) of the substrate and is therefore subject to show wrinkle’s.

These can be lessened by using a damp (microwave heated) towel, which will cause the urethane to contract slightly. The foam, leather hide and its urethane covering are subjected to compression (the weight applied by people sitting on them) which causes them the stretch, which in turn produces creases (wrinkles). If they become excessive it may mean that the foam is compressed to the point it will no longer ‘rebound’ and should therefore be replaced

Jon, would the foam be under compression and the leather hide and urethane covering be under tension? The tension causes the stretch marks? At least that's the impression my.....body makes.

While the moist towel has helped my seats a little bit, I just tested out Leatherique (rejuvonile oil and Prestine clean) on my seats this past weekend. The results were phenominal, most wrinkles are gone and the bigger onces are reduced. I usually use lexol on my seats once a month and thought my seats were clean, I was soo wrong, leatherique removed so much dirt from my seats that it made the bucket of water black for just the driver seat (I also do weekly wipe-downs). After the application my seats also felt really soft (like a new seat off the show room) and has that Matt finish look that new leather seats has. From what I understand wrinkles are caused by leather drying out, with a product like the rejuvonile oil it moisturizes the leather and push the dirt out, followed by Prestine clean which removes the extra rejuvonile oil left and all the dirt and grime that has been pushed out from the bottom. If you use a blow dryer to help remove wrinkles, you are actually drying out the leather more and will be worst in the long run.

Again, I'm not an expert so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but these are my personal experiences.

Another Leatherique success story. The product truly is phenomenal, and the best part is it cleans deep down with almost no abrasion. I was also very skeptical when I read about it, but you have to use the stuff to really appreciate it.

BTW I have no affiliation with the company at all, it's just rare to use a product that actually greatly exceeds expectations.
