Default water stain on lips

The lips of my racing hart rims are covered with water stain. i purchased the rims used. Dunno what they are made of.
I tried Mother's Mag & polish, Meguiar's hot rim cleaner (purple), and soap and water. None of them worked.
How do i get rid of them?

Are the lips clearcoated?

If not use a metal polish which can be bought basically anywhere (Walmart, Target, Pepboys, etc.)

If clearcoated, you can still compound the lips and THEN follow with a lighter polish if a lighter polish alone does not work.

i heard that most of them come clear coated but not sure.
i used mother's Mag but didn't work at all
If it is clear coated and use mother's Mag, it'll mess up the coat so....don't think i can use it.

Ive heard diluted white vinegar works on waterspots on paint. If the metal polishes didnt take it off, then maybe try the vinegar in a spray bottle

Try using some quick detailer and clay bar. This usually works well for me.

did you do it by hand or with a machine like the powerball?

M105 is one of the strongest compounds out there. only thing I can think of is M105 on #0000 steel wool by hand?

What You need to do is use a metal polish compound. There good few on the market. Mequiars, Blacfire, all depends how haevy cut You need, etc etc. after that You need to seal them - that will protect from brake dust and water marks. Im using a Blackfire wheel sealant - its on the wheels for about 6 months! Let me know if You want more info
On the pic I see that You need a good cleaning first. You can use a IronX or Bilberry or Wolfs Brake duster - there are very good wheel cleaners. After that good polish and finished with sealant.

i bought m105 today and tried it out.
The water stain goes away after like 4 times of hard rubbing. Some spots won't go away though.
The spots turned purple and blue slightly.
My only choice now is to sand it down and polish with mother's. Finish up with rim wax.
Do i need DA to get rid of the scratches from sanding?
