Default What Leather Cleaner is good for IS350?

I have a spanky new '08 IS350. It's got two tone interior. The seats are tan color. The leather quality on this car is amazing.

What's a good leather cleaner/protectant for this vehicle? What's the best for this leather? I don't want to take chance using something that could possibly hurt or ruin the original color of the leather... Help plz.

I use Lexol. I would strongly suggest that you stay away from ArmorAll. I think Meguiars make good products for leather care also.

I used to swear by Lexol. That stuff works great. I got tired of its smell (Not a bad one but distinct) and switched to Zymol. I love the smell of it and it works great.

I have used Meguiars since I bought the car and am very satisfied. Leather looks great.

I used to use the Meguire's but it wouldn't work on my mothers white leather couches.

Then I used some Lexol, and it cleaned like a charm, and the conditioner softened it right up. It also rinses right up before the conditioner.

Now I swear by Lexol!! Just wish they had a car polish

The Lexus branded Leather Cleaner and Conditioner combo works great. I use the Meguiars Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner in between when I'm too lazy to two step it.

Seems like many of you like Lexol. I haven't heard of it. Do they make good quality stuf? What does it smell like? like banana? Good smell is also important to me. I take it this product is not harmful to Lexus leather?

Is this what you guys referring to about meguiar?

If so, that's what I have currently, well, it's almost empty... but I tried a little bit on my IS350 just a small portion of it to test it.

That's what I use, only the spray version.

I just used the Lexus brand stuff. Bought it from Sewell. Did the two step process with cleaner first then conditioner. Worked great. The cleaner works awesome! The conditioner works well too and made the leather a bit softer and more supple. Though I seemed to noticed the results more a few days after I applied it. My only complaint is that it makes the leather squeek when I wear jeans. Im assuming this is due to the Lanolin oil residue left on the seats. Im planning on taking a slightly damp microfiber cloth and wiping the seats down in a week or so. Other than that, it worked awesome. It did have a very slight chemical smell, but it went away very quickly.

In regard to Lexol I dunno. I know the Lexus dealer by my office only sells that stuff. They dont even sell the Lexus brand stuff anymore. Probably a higher profit margin on the Lexol. Since the dealership is selling it I doubt it would harm the leather, however I have no idea how it smells.

if you have heat/cool options on the seats, what do you use that will not get the product stuck in the tiny holes?

^ Mine is a perforated leather w/ Cooled seats. I am guessing a spray version of Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner would do the trick since it's not thick like the liquid version. This is the one i'm *thinking* about trying... I'm used to Meguiar's stuff. I might try the Lexol later. Do AUTOZONE carry this stuff too?

I like Zaino's stuff. I find the smell interesting, reminds me of a hospital smell all clean lol. I'm using Ultima's product right now. I'm not quite sold on it. It's supposed to work on everything from leather, to the carpet, to the trim.
