Come on, now you're sounding like my wife. Everyone knows guys need this stuff.

The wife needs make-up and jewelry. I need cars and auto products, and tools and home theater and large Plasma displays and computers and fishing gear and hunting gear and lots of guns... I think it's a sickness and it's in my genes. LOL

Umm... there are two polishers in my arsenal. The white box second shelf from the bottom on the left contains a G100. This is a Porter-Cable 7336. The Makita rotary is in the red and black tool box on the right.

Default Here is what I use (I am a first timer but got good advice)

Here is what I used. I got some excellent advice in another forum from detaildoc, SW03ES, and Mburnikas. The post I started is here: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...ic=45222&st=60). Not sure it is right to point to another lexus forum but Club Lexus and LOC are two of the best!

Glad to see I'm not the only one with a store full of auto products. What is the average shelf life of polish/wax/everything else if it's kept in a climate controlled environment?

Ooo, old thread. Sadly, I have tripled the amount of pads and pretty much doubled the amount of everything else. As for car wash solution....I'm sure everyone knows

For those who like some light reading I like to keep things simple

Dupont No 7 Car Wash
Eagle 1 Aluminum Wheel wash
Microfiber towels (to dry car and remove wax)
Terry cloth covered sponge to apply wax
Collinite Fleetwax Paste No 885
Extra Fine Cheese Cloth for the final wipe down after waxing

I use mostly professional grade chemicals. Most of the stuff on the shelf at your local auto zone is overpriced junk.
