Default Cheap Orbital Buffers

What makes polishers like the Portercables superior to justify the $$$ difference?

The Porter cable has a more powerful motor so it's able to correct more defects without bogging down.

That polisher is awesome for applying wax when you're too lazy to do it by hand.

25bucks!? I might have to buy one. I always get a good workout when I put wax by hand.

It is, comes with different speed settings on the back. But really, with wax, you don't need to apply a lot of force during the process. If anything, I would use it to buff off the wax...

Jerry, you need a detail?

Porter cable is fine for applying wax. I was just saying that the cheap polishers are only good for applying wax. You can't really correct much with a cheap polisher. Just save up for a nice porter cable starter kit that comes with pads or start making friends with people that own the machine and ask them if you can try it out.

Yea I do. Do you detail your own car now or have the guys at your work do it?

I've always waxed by hand.. I don't find it that taxing on me. Not something I dread,.. and I usually spend hours doing it. (Cause I detail the interior/seals/tires/wheels/wheel wells and on and on) --

But I am really interested in getting into Polish,.. So I am debating what brand to get:

Flex/PC/Meg's and so on? What do you guys think?

Power and balance. You will be amazed at how balanced the PC 7424 is.

BTW, I apply wax with my 7424 and work it through. I remove by hand after hazing.
