no, that paint WILL NOT WORK as it is a lacquer.

u NEED the PS-31 as it is made for polycarbonate/lexan plastics.


if u need help finding the paint use Tamiya's dealer site. the place u listed is on it but from what my RC car friends tell me, theyr REALLY slow ordering stuff.

hey PD, any updates on the emblems? any peeling or such? thinking about doing this to my faded gold emblems.

nope, emblems are in perfect shape

but i didnt clear my grill properly and will prolly hafta sand, scuff, polish, and respray

wouldnt use it on headlights or foglights, and why use it on ur grill, is it chrome?

wowww..just saw this thread today...cant believe i miss it...nice write up btw....
i just need a way to take the emblems out...scared of breaking them or scratching the paint up

Put the 3m outdoor double sided tape. It's one that is thin and has a red backing. The tape itself looks grey.

damn local hobby shops dont carry the polycarbonate paint. might just go to pepboys or something and pick up a can of smoke spray paint.
