Default help, water spots

Ran through some rain on my out of town journey and didn't have any way to hand wash it so I ran through a touchless car wash which supposedly had the no spot rinse. Well the car is spotted up horribly with water spots. How the hell do you get them off? I tried Maguires #7 mirror glaze but still see them in the right light. This is making me sick!! Car is only a month old and water spotted up bad. Oh yeah, it's black but you probably already guessed that.

First off a glaze will not remove anything. Usually the first thing people do it the "magical" acid bath which is literally a 50/50 mix of water of vinegar. Wash the affected spots with that and if that doesnt fix it, then you can try claying the spots, but more than likely you will have to get yourself a porter cable 7424 and polish them out.

FYI Meguiar's use the terms polish and glaze interchangeably

Yea I know I have seen that before, but the level of abrasiveness in their glazes is literally none,so to try polishing a defect out (like water spots) would probably be fruitless...

Agreed...need a cleaner rather than a polish or glaze

1) Clay
2) Menzerna Power Gloss with a circular and compounding foam pad - if spots are not that bad, you could skip to the IP
3) Menzerna Intensive Polish with a PC 7424 and polishing foam pad
4) Take your pick for a protectant, I use Klasse AIO

The PG and IP will work everything out!

i would try some spray wax, but washing it with water and hand drying it should do the trick if you can find some place to do it.

I also had pretty bad water marks, and pretty bad swirl marks.

I used Mequires Scratch X, and worked like a charm.

Finished up with Turtlewax Ice. Looks like glass!

Thanks everyone for your input. I worked on the car last night and this morning and got all the water spots out.
