Default 303 Aerospace protectant

Well i finally found a dealer here locally that sells the 303.. It was at West Marine.. Anyway I came home and used it on the both cars ( ES, GS, ) I did every possible visible piece of rubber i could find on both cars..I Even did the engine bays and trunks.. This stuff is great... Finally a protectant with a sunscreen in it.. I also did the rubber around the windows especailly the GS.. The GS has tons of rubber thats visible to sunlight so i wanted to hit every piece. I also waxed the black part around the windows on the GS.. That made a huge difference in smoothness at the touch.. Thanks guys for the tip.. Everyone should use this especially in FL where its sunny 90% of the time..

I used a light coat of turtle wax compond and then a small coat of Mcguires gold wax.. I just did it because it felt rough and also had some water spots on it.. Its nice and smooth now..

It is a UV protector. It revializes the rubber and vinyl in your interior. Under the hood, apply to hoses, axle CV boots, anywhere you see plactic or rubber...

Their site is : www.303products.com

303 has been around forever and is probably the product I use most (aside from maybe Spray and Wipe), it works on all rubber, vinyl and plastic, leaves a nice matte finish, is durable for a water based product, and has some of the best UV protection around. Just make sure to apply liberally, wipe off, then come back and wipe again a few minutes later so it doesn't streak.

I like 303 a lot but I have to tell you that it doesn't hold up well on exterior vinyl or rubber trim. When it gets rained on it washes off and leaves a film on the paint under the trim where it runs off. This happens even when I apply and buff it well. I now use Meguiar's Exterior Trim Detailer. This stuff holds up under rain and doesn't leave that residue on the paint.

I use 303 on my tires. It's now my new favorite tire dresser. I use to have Meguiar endurance. It was nice, but took longer to apply. No to mention, the 303 looks great after a long time. The Meguiar only looks good if you apply the right amount. The 303 looks natural and even, and best of all, it doesn't sling.

I used it on the tires also and noticed a big difference in shine and durability on the product.. Also it didn't seem to sling either...

They're chemically similar concoctions, but 303 has some higher-end (and thusly more expensive) ingredients including a supposedly higher percentage of UV40 than anything else out there. And UV40 is one of those ( very) costly ingredients.. One reason 303 costs double what Armor All does, and also why 303 is marketed towards the boating crowd. Both are polydimethyl siloxane silicones, water based.

They look and perhaps smell similar, but perform quite differently.

I never cared for the appearance of Armor All, always looked too shiney and seemed to leave a greasey residue that attracted dust. The 303 on the other hand, leaves a very subtle sheen on interior vinyl pieces that is dry to the touch. Its my favorite interior detailer.
