Was the plastic on the seats when you bought it? If so, start right now. If not odds are it was conditioned at the dealership and you can wait a couple months. General rule with conditioning is to do it every 6-10 weeks depending on weather (heat, humidity). You can use a cleaner more often, but conditioning too often will just clog the leather and provide no benefit.
Cheers.

Thanks for the info.
The plastic was on the seats when I bought it. My leather seats are perforated. What is the best way to avoid clogging the little holes?
2 additional questions: How soon should I start protecting the dash, etc... and what is the best product to use?

I would start righ away and use Zaino Z-10, then use the Z-9 cleaner a bit further down the road as needed. Apply with a medium pile microfiber. The Z-10 will be absorbed into the perforations but should be fine.
I would start on the dash immediately. I like to use a plush microfiber towel combined with Wolfgang Vinyl ^ Rubber Protectant or 303 Aerospace. You need UV protection. 1Z Cockpit Premium works well also.
