Yes I was amazed to hear that some of those in the class had already been to the clinic.
The fellow on the left side of the pic below said he is a professional car detailer, who does up to 4 cars a day!
(So what does he do on his day off, but attend a Meguiar's detailing class!)

They are very generous with the freebies- each of us took home 1 hot rims wheel cleaner (you choose what type) and 1 tire shine (spray or aerosol), plus some applicator pads and an order form for 10% off anything in the catalog plus free shipping.

Wow thats all? Last visit we had with them earlier this year with Mike Phillips, We got 3 total items. 1 hot rims cleaner, 1 tire shine, and a claybar set with QD included in the package.

Although a clay bar set is certainly more desireable than a set of applicator pads, I don't think any of us left that day saying "that's all?".

In any case, I think the freebies will vary from week to week, depending upon their inventory and what they are trying to promote.
I'm certain they will make it worth your while, to justify your third (!) visit in two years!

What's up Perry and Ryan! I hope I get to attend this class - I signed up on Meguiar's forum and posted, but I'm not sure I'm going to get added to the list, as there seems to be a lot of demand for these spots. I've never been to one of these clinics, so I'm just hoping to get a spot - hope to see you guys soon!!

Javier- While of course it is preferable to take the course with other CL members, be advised they have this class every Saturday, usually affiliated with a local car club, and they do not always book up.

Check with MeguairsOnline.com on any Thursday or Friday, and chances are you might see an opening for the next day's class.
That's what I did with TeamTransport, and it worked out great!

(But c'mon, Javier- I've seen your new car, and it is barely in need of any detailing.
Get back to us in a few years!)

Sorry guys, but I am not going to be able to make it this weekend for the CL Detail day. I have to race and got my weekends mixed up and I will be late for the AeroTech meet as well.

I also emailed Mike at Meguiars to let him know to take me off of the list to have someone replace my spot. I am so jealous, but have fun guys, it is well worth it.

The turnout was great despite the climbing heat and humidity. Thanks to everyone that came out and to those that traveled from a distance i.e. r.maestas from NorCal and Clubfoot and wife coming out all the way from TORONTO!! (Hey Hameed, are you reading this? ) Glad you guys were able to come out and enjoy Meguiar's hospitality with us. It definitely is a treat to get a detailing class direct from the folks at Meguiar's World Headquarters in Irvine.
