Default cleaning emblems

I have a '99 ES 300 with the "gold package" The gold looks worn and dirty. How do I safely clean these?

Mine are chrome so I usually clean them with chrome polish. You can try out the never dull wadding.

I would not use anything that is abrasive. The plating is extremely thin and an abrasive will take the gold off. Try a regular wax and if that does not work, you are probably going to have to replace the emblems or get them re-plated.
