Default car wax for black color LX470

Hello,

I have a 2004 black color LX470. Would you recommend waxing it after wash (once a while)? Just wondering if anyone has any experience and which wax is good to use.

Thanks,

Try Zaino, I've been using it for a while now.
This stuff is AMAZING

If I get ZFX accelerator additive then I do I need to apply product Z-2 and Z-5. Or ZFX is enough?

Thanks.

You add ZFX into Z2 or Z5, it makes it dry faster.
ZFX itself is not a polish or a wax, just an addictive.

Since your LX is brand new, you can use Z2.

Hope this help

first you use the z1 or zfx then go directly over it with the z2 wait at least 7 hours then buff off this product works well especially on black

On a black vehicle I would suggest Pinnacle or S-100. Both are good carnuba based waxes.Gives a great deep/wet look.Very easy to use. Just my thoughts on it.

All those choices are good, but I just want to interject that a carnauba wax will only last a few weeks under most circumstances, so only go that route if you don't mind waxing monthly.

A polymer sealant will last much longer and it's your best bet if you don't have the time to wax too often.

If you are looking for a product that looks stunning and lasts several months take a look at Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax. No mixing, easy to apply and remove and head turning good looks. Available at Target, Walmart, Autozone, Checkers and numerous other retail stores. Here is a Highlander I did recently.

jfelbab, great work with the Highlander. Awesome feeling to look at the deep, rich black color on the car after a detail job.

Considering my 5'7" frame, there's absolutely NO way I'll detail an SUV in my life

Thanks guys, The Highlander came out well except for the tires. The owner wanted them to look wet. I tried to talk him down to a more subtle sheen but the customer is always right.

I posted those pics to help the OP get a feel for just how nice NXT Tech Wax looks on black. IMO, NXT is the best $15 LSP I've ever used.
