This is not yet (?) on Automobile's (automobilemag.com) web site but is found in the hard copy on page 20 under article called "Toyotapalooza", in which some details are given regarding upcoming product from Toyota and Lexus in the next 5 years.

Quoting in part: "LEXUS GS, FIRST QUARTER 2004 THE GS300s current in-line six will be replaced with V-6s ranging from 3.0 to 3.5 liters. The new GS likely debuting at the fall Tokyo motor show will introduce styling other Lexus models will adopt as part of a new effort to make Lexus a global brand. (This strategy also will see Lexus models sold with Lexus nameplates, rather than as Toyotas, for the first time in Japan.)"

Also mentions new IS in fall of 05 with the bigger V6 and possibly 4.3L V8 and a 5.0 L V8 for the LS to be introduced alongside the current LS with the next gen LS appearing in fall 06, possibly only with the 5.0L

No mention of what V8 might power the GS4 (or 5?)................

When the article shows up on the website, I'll post a link. More interesting stuff .......there's also an official pic of the new BMW 5 series; it's front end carries the "dame Edna" eyebrow look to even greater, more godawful extremes than the 7.......yuck.

IS430 might have to do quite a bit better than the 300hp that current 4.3L V8 produces since the IS350 is rumored to produce that much, or they won't bring out an IS430 at all.

LS500 is much needed to compete with those competitors with displacement advantages.

Thanks for the great info.:)
