Arrow Well... It's Mid-Point In The NBA: Who's Making a Run?

M A V E R I C K S

Oh come on now... You walked straight into this one.

Seriously though... At 32 and 8, the Dallas Mavericks are clearly the BEST team in the NBA. I know, I know... But we still have no ring.

Well my sceptical friends, certain additions and tweaks, me believes this years Finals will belong to us.
Here's why:

Although our defense has improved considerably since Avery Johnson took over early last season, we are handidly holding opponents under 100 pts more so than any other NBA team. Dirk is visibly asserting himself in the paint and as THE leader! Our guard play is significantly improved. Veteran/Playoff experience addition like Devan George. And mostly the painful lesson learned from last year.

So then... What say you.

They're a good team... ... ... ...in the regular season. Good luck though. I'm waiting for the Lakers to get completely healthy and go on a run.

Exclamation

Thought I would not say this, this season... Don't know who I'd rather see in the playoffs between them and the Suns? Phil and Kobe are on a mission this yea! Speaking of... Great game tonight with them over the Spurs. I will be in the house welcoming Kobe and co tonight in Dallas. Me thinks we shall prevail.

Nowitzky's perimeter game always presents a matchup problem. But when the Lakers get solid contributions from Radmanovic, Farmar, Turiaf, etc. anything can happen. Should be a good game.

IM MFFL! We got screwed out of a trophy last year. I don't think it's fair when you get called for a foul for breathing on Wade.

shaq's back this wknd...Heat will push forward again

and the call your talking about was reviewed by the NBA's head official on nbatv and they said it was a legitament call. Dallas let four games in a row go by, thats where you should be most angry

I'm not talking about just one foul. All stars should be treated equally and get the same calls. Wade can get a call for whatever he wants whenever he wants.

http://www.82games.com/game5refs.htm

Look at my how many bad calls Salvatore made in favor of Miami.

Kind of funny when one guy shoots more free throws than the entire opposing team.

jordan had the same privalege, so does Kobe....i'm not one for it, but its not up to me to make those decisions.

the real reason here is that the Mavs shouldnt have let the Heat get 4 games in a row. bad calls of not, 4-games! unacceptable in the playoffs if you ask me

Most of the crucial games in which the officiating was questioned were only determined by a few points or less. Tell me how the two are unrelated?

so then what about josh howards timeout call, bad officiating again rite? or how about the Mavs team partying most nites forcing AJ to move them out of south beach...more one-sided rite?

btw i'm gong to look over the reels and let you know if they were that bogus

only one-game, game 5, really was the bad game...i'll give you that

game 3--wade just took over
game 4--was a blowout by the heat
game 5--question mark game, officiating did play a role
game 6--another comeback qtr for wade

in all wade just drove to the hole non-stop...he made himself get those calls, and he tookt he abuse for it

the mavs relied on perimeter shots, they are a good perimeter team...wade just answered that by puttin himself on the line

and you cant say going to the line almost 25 times in game 5 was all officiating mishaps...dallas fouled wade as he drove, not hard to believe

Mavs look great. Lakers are not bad. Suns looking great too.
the ENTIRE EASTERN CONFERENCE IS WHACK WHACK WHACK

The finals this year will be less watched than last year.

I agree with the Suns and Mavs. I think they will meet in the conference championship once again. As good as the Lakers record is at this point, I am not sold on them. Their record away from Staples sucks and they make a habit of losing to teams they should easily beat on the road (i.e.- Bobcats, Hornets, etc.). Lamar may give them the support they need as he causes match up problems, but Kwame is a bum...never should have been a #1 pick. Bynum has much more upside and I would stick Turiaf at PF over Kwame. Also, I would not count the Spurs out. They are having a down year for them, but I wouldn't want to meet them in the playoffs.

As for the East, definitely whack. Even though I am originally from DC and cheer for the Wizards, I would be surprised if anyone in the East pulls off what Miami did last year.
