I have a 06 GS 300 AWD. This may seem like some stupid questions but I have to ask.
The car came with HID Headlamps.
Here are my questions, the headlights have 2 smaller lights next to them that are yellowish Parking lights
and then on the bottom bumper the Fog Lights.
Can I upgrade the parking lights to something brighter that's not yellow?
I guess the HID lights can be upgraded, to what? I don't want to blind the drivers heading my way.
The Fog lights are just nothing to call home about. What can I do there? Can I get better bulbs for them?
There has been a number of posts about people upgrading their HID or Foglights, but it all seems to be involved with the whole assembly replacement. I'm curious too if a simple bulb replacement could be done to improve, for example, fog lights? What I'm thnking "outloud" is that a brighter light will require a higher current supplied to the light bulb, and what we have right now is limited by wire harness and fuses. Of course, fuse can be replaced, but if you put more current through a harness/wire/cable with a lower rating, you will burn it out. Therefore, I'm thinking this is a reason why the whole light assembly with bulbs, harness, ballast, reflectors, etc. needs to be replaced?
But, I'm also curious to find out if anybody in here just changed their light bulb to make it brighter and it worked?
