Default Colts fan's check in!

Ok guys, they are my fav team since Manning has been my fav player ever since he was in college. ANyhow, do you think this is the year he gets into the superbowl? I know that the chargers are a force to be reckon with, unless the patriots beat them. The game on sunday really showed me a side of them I did not see all year, which was stopping the run.

What are your thoughts?

I'm a huge Colts fan of the same type. I've been watching them since they drafted Manning (and I liked him in college) and also watching Reggie Wayne and Edgerrin James in college. And I, for one, am sick of the media bandwagoning like they do. First the Colts/Chiefs and now Florida/Ohio St...

It just goes to show that 90% of the announcers and media writers (sans most ex-NFL guys) are only that and will never achieve a higher position because they aren't good enough to be coaches. I could see right through most of this crap on BOTH games.

the game on SATURDAY showed that Freeny and Mathis can stop the run too; when they're playing in that mode/set. All year they've been playing the pash rush hardcore... and the Colts do VERY well against the pass.... but the media doesn't tell you that. I guarentee you that Tony Dungy was holding his hurt defenders longer than normal; he KNEW they'd be in the playoffs and KNEW he needed the healthiest team he could have.

The Colts D is on a roll... now if Harrison and Manning can get their communication right; the (again) one-dimensional offense of the Ravens won't be doing jack (yes McNair is a decent QB, but he's slow and has no arm strength, if Ravens are forced to pass, he'll have 3-4 sacks). They have a good defense, no doubt, but so did many of the other teams the colts played this year (and beat them). The colts offense won't be stopped.

Obviously, manning and harrison will be a key part in the success for the colts. However I think the colts will use the running game early as well as the short passes with huge gains in yardage. If that doesn't work, they will have to go to the air game, which from what I have seen in the past games, has not really been there.

The Colts are one of the most talented teams in the NFL, no doubt. Unfortunately it is not their year. Not to mention one of the best coached! The trend continues. No SB for them.

I'm pulling for the Colts because they have such a strong Louisiana connection - Manning and Reggie Wayne both from New Orleans (I played high school football with Reggie) and Jospeh Addai from LSU. Most of us from the 'Bayou State' are pulling for the Colts.

if sanders can stay healthy thru out the playoffs and help stop the run....they will be superbowl contenders! no one really has an answer to the Colts offense--they have to many options

though that may be true, the ravens havent been a crushing defense as they once were. their def still allowed points in most agmes to make it some-what close...maybe close to 10-games, the difference was 10pts or less

so dont believe their defense is an almighty force...they are very good, but so is the Colts offense--2nd best to the Chargers IMO in the AFC

the problem could lie in whether the Ravens offense can produce points if Indy's def plays like it did last week--Ravens offense isn't that much to talk abuot but they do have good players who can produce

but come this wknd we'll all see the verdict

Great win for the Colts!!! Defense had another stellar performance, and Peyton hasn't even caught fire yet. I'm pulling for them regardless of who wins tomorrow. Colts and Saints in Miami!!!

I'll admit I did not see this win coming at all. They surprised me in a good way. Now that its possible, I would love to see the Colts and the Saints in the Superbowl. I think the Saints have a better chance aginst the Colts then anyone in the AFC, lol. Plus it would be cool for Archie Manning to finally be able to go to a Superbowl and who else would be a greater opponite then the Saints for him?

My picks have been dead on. I knew the patriots would pull it off being that Brady has playoff experience. The colts have the best chance this year, being that the colts will have HOME FIELD advantage vs. the Patriots! Its a rematch of 2004! Come on COlts, pull it through!

Congrats to the Colts on advancing. I was hoping that the Colts would have to make the trip to SD but looks like homefield is theirs now. Don't waste it.

Now go kick some Patsies ass. Those bastards pulled a TO and did the "Lights Out" dance on our Bolts at midfield. Classless.

With the weak secondary the Pats have; I think Manning and Co will be playing lights-out on them; no worries.

SD has a great offense; but its not the passing its well known for Taking nothing from LT as I think he's THE most of ONE OF the most talented players in the game; and among an elite of past and present NFL.

Expect the New England fans to come out in droves however.... they are quite the bandwagoneer team; much like the Florida Marlins. Bellichik is an ass; I hope Dungy tears him a new one.
