Default Seat Belt Chime disable also disables my mirror tilt- ***SOLVED***

Sorry for starting this thread, my mirror adjustment button was not in the correct position.

Many thanks to twister for pointing this out as explained in the post below.

You probably hit by mistake your right/left mirror switch and its in a middle *neutral* position. Hit either of those (the button will light up green) to select right or left mirrors, and will see that its back to normal

why would you disable the seatbelt chime? Just asking. Here in Hawaii its against the law not to wear it while driving. And doesnt the chimes stop after like 30secs?

Becuase I do not feel like wearing a seatbelt to go 5 blocks to a friends and dont care to hear the chimes during that time either...

Diabling the chime does not mean I cant put on my seatbelt.

OK. Fair answer. BUT while I know the chime doesnt have anything to do with this, the reason why I asked about seat belts is I actually got a tkt a block from my house. Seriously. I left my house to pickup my wife from her mothers house about 2 blocks away. I made it to the first block and a police was making the turn to my street. Moment he made the turn his lights went on. I would wear a seat belt after that happened.

I see your point and would tend to agree except here in California (at least where I live) the police do not tend to really do anything about seatbelts unless you have 12 people packed in a 1972 cargo van.

Typically, when we go eat, drink, see friends, etc. it is within 2 miles from the house and I just got tired of the noise.

Aloha

I always buckle! Even driving for 100 feet!!

But people decide not to buckle have their right to do so... this is not as critical as DUI which has 100 more times of chance to kill others.

Leave beachfront alone... I believe he/she is a grown man/woman.

That seatbelt chime annoys me to no end. This was one of my favorite hacks to get rid of that noise. I still wear my seatbelt, but like to put it on after I'm going down the driveway or in the parking lot.

Nobody was picking on him. I just asked why. I didn't demand him to wear it. I just pointed out a little story that happened to me here in Hawaii.
