Heated Tile Floors - - Need advice HELP!!!!

I have a home under construction and the builder asked if I wanted "Heated Tile Floors".
the builder send me some links to compaines for information, but I wanted some feedback from someone who actually has the system.

I live in California, but heated floors seems like a nice option.

My questions are:

How many of you actually have heated floors?

What problems can I expect? (what problems have you had?)

what is the best system (vendor) to buy from?

How long will the system last? (5 years, 10 years?)
I don't want to have to remove tile to re-do the system.

Please, any additional info would be helpful!!!

I have heated tiles in my bathroom. no problems so far. only thing i had a problem with was 2 yrs ago the controller broke and it was on all the time for 3 weeks. It feels so good to come out of the shower and step onto a heated floor. Or going to the bathroom in the winter to do a # 1 or 2 and stepping into a nice warm floor. If you get the heated floor also get a towel warmer.

I had resistant heat in the first floor ceiling of my old home, which heated upwards to the second floor. Definitely a nice luxury, but I was constantly thinking about what, if anything, could go wrong with the system. Peace of mind was a factor for me I guess you could say.
