Howard Dean is clueless

Today he said:

"I think we're in trouble, we have not pursued the war on terror with the vigor that we should have because we've gotten bogged down in this civil war in Iraq. What we ought to be doing is going after Osama bin Laden full-scale," Dean said.

That would mean invading Pakistan whose leader is an ALLY to the U.S. Is that what he wants?

The chances, too, are equally good that he is on the Afghan side of the border rather than in Pakistan, possibly squashed in an earthquake-collapsed cave......I'm not entirely convinced he's still alive, though of course there is no proof either way.

Dean is a public embarassment to the Democratic Party.....especially as the Party Chairman. He is one of the main reasons why the Democrats aren't doing better in polls despite Bush's generally low approval rating ( outside of fighting terror ) right now. I don't say that to slander or libel the guy but to just point out the political damage he has done to the party's national image. The sooner the Democrats replace him, the better off they will be.....the party has already lost one of their finest candidates ( though not directly because of Dean ).....Joe Lieberman. ( Lieberman is substantially ahead of Lamont in the polls and will very likely go back to the Senate as an Independent, not a Democrat)

Seriously though, we do need to go get Osama, but not at the expense of going into Pakistan. I think we burned enough bridges. However I too thought he was still located on the border of Afghanistan.

(Well I guess we will never really know)

The GOP has all the answers and others are clueless.

You see, what we have here is a one-party (GOP) wrecking crew. They screw things up and then badger others to provide solutions to the mess they created ! Huh ??? Since when do you create chaos and then bash someone else for not coming up with another way to rescue you from your bad policies and actions ? Does that make any sense ? No, I suggest we let those who put us in this mess deal with it, and stew in their own rot. The American people need to see them for what they are, and make a choice if they want more of the same, or a change for the better...

Since the topic claims Dean is clueless, let's examine those who represent the right-wingers today.... You know, the ones with all the clues.... Druggie Limbaugh, gambler Bennett, libelious Coulter, Doctor (I lied in my medical license renewal) Frist, Richard (shoot your friend in the face) Cheney, Bill "sex-hungry" O'Reilly, Ken "40 & single, wink wink" Mehlman, etc etc... These are the leaders on the right... compared to Dr Howard Dean, a medical doctor, former Governor, and a very bright guy. On the intellect level, these people are lilliputians next to Dean.... so its not surprising that the right can only impugn and malign, not debate opinions and ideas...

Osama, wanted Dead or Alive ! The President proudly announced.... What he forgot was this ain't the wild wild west any more.... 5 years later, the trail has gone cold, and we are no closer to finding and killing the guy who brought untold pain to so many Americans... Rather, we have Cheney continuing the lie about Iraq, Al Qaeda, and terrorism. With leaders like these, who needs statesmen ?

Who is buying who's message? I was advocating hitting the terrorists 20-odd years ago...long before George W was even in public office....and before some of you guys were even born.
