Cool Painted my calipers !

Was thinking about doing this a long time ago and I finally got around to it!

The caliper before:

The painted caliper. Yeah I didn't do such a great job aligning the decal. I got the other side perfect though. Funny, I was concentrating a lot harder when doing this one...

With the wheel on before:

Now:

yep, OEM rims. Sorry.

Thanks.

I got the decals from a guy here, VegasIS300.

I just used 500 degree high temp. paint (i think it was duplicolor "engine enamel"). Masked everything off. A couple coats of black. Put the decal on. Then a couple coats of clear.

Looks good. It makes you wonder why car makers don't paint all calipers. It would only cost a few penny's for them to do it, and they could add in the cost without anyone noticing.

Default Very nice mod and Lexus should have done it..

for you by design. Powdercoated red, black or white. The decal draws attention. Nice work.

Thanks. It's black. "Glossy Black". Yeah, in that picture, I think the clear coat was still in the process of drying (not to mention that I might have oversprayed it a little... but not like it really matters though ). Once the paint's all dried, it's unmistakingly black.

Were those the stock Lexus Calipers? Any particular place you purchased the paint? Thanks!
