Our Leaders Performance +/- ??

This has probably been done, but a very simple question......Do you think Bush has done a "good" job as president? Comparitively speaking, against the performances of say that last 4 presidents. I personally cant get past the fact that he seems to always present himself as such an idiot. Although i give my full support to our troops and their families, i think we are and have been at a point where this war is a complete joke. I hate to see that American soldiers, hell any soldiers, are still dying in this conflict. I dont claim to be a republican or a democrat, mostly because I find it difficult to believe anything politicians say. A lot of people say its the hippie in me, i dont know, could be?? Regardless, I cant see many positive things that have happened because Bush is our leader. I fully understand that after 9/11 we had to take the fight on terrorism to another level, at this point though, what are doing and what are we going to do? I still havent heard any talks of an exit strategy and have heard Bush say that our troops would defiinitely be over there into 2008. I guess we can only hope that the next president finds the time to figure out a way to get our troops back home. There are so many other topics that could be discussed, some of which may show that he has produced positively as a leader, but I believe this war will always overshadow all other things in his presidency.

I think you will see that this survey will pretty closely mirror what national Presidential Approval ratings already say. Probably, it will end up at 60/40 or 35/65.

Unfortunately, this shows less of what people really believe about the President as opposed to what they are being fed by the rampant liberal media. For instance, the Prescription Drug plan the President approved barely got any positive press coverage last week, when a new poll came out showing how most seniors love it. The war in Afghanistan was an overwhelming success, but we don't hear about that. Education standards have never been better, and most pepple have no clue. The economy is on FIRE, but all you will hear about in the media is the deficit.

Too bad most people are such followers and cannot form an original idea or opinion of their own. If they could, we'd be back at 50/50, similar to the election year (where Bush had great PR going for him to balance the negative PR the media spews forth).

Just my 2 pennies.

I don't think there is a scale that can measure Bush's performance. It is literally off the charts

I'll have to admit that eventhough our views couldn't be more polarized from each other, I will give you props on the comic relief. While I pretty much disagree with just about everything you say, I'll give this one to you. That was funny.

Well, a lot of you anti-Bush guys said the same thing about Ronald Reagan 20 years ago....and history now rates him as one of the best Presidents of modern times.

Looking past the anti-Bush rhetoric of today, in the future, Bush will probably be rated as an average President overall. He will be given an A in his convictions and efforts to fight the war on terror, a B in his overall domestic policy, a C in diplomatic tact, a D in his public speaking ability and communication, and an F in controlling illegal imigration.

I just used the last 4 presidents because thats about as far back as I can remember having any care/interest/knowledge of who was running the country. It would also be interesting to know, "If Bush could run for office again....would you vote for Bush, against Bush, or not vote at all?" I should post that poll, maybe i will post that poll.

They all suck, because none of them actually give a damn about the people. There were only a choice few presidents who actually did good to help the people. But most are in it for themselves....I use this little qoute that i made myself: "Polititians are like diapers, they're full of *****"....

Your question could be comprehended in one of two different ways:

A.) If I could dgo back to 2004, would I vote for Bush again?
B.) If Bush was running in 2008, would I vote for him?

On letter A - YES
On letter B - It completely depends on who would be running against him

So true. I think this about politicians in general. All Republicans and Democrats who have currently been in their seats for more than 2 terms need to be voted out and replaced with "new blood". This would KILL many of the special interest groups in Washington who thrive on their "connections".

Well, first of all I think that Bush is a complete clown, and I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth, but I also realize that whatever he does/say is not even his own opinion/action, but rather the peoples that are behind him. He is simply too freaking brainless to have his own opinions and ideas.

That being said, whomever the people that are running the country behind Dubya's back are doing a great job to benefit themselves, but doing a lousy job to serve the country. The economy is in the hole, the war is a joke. I strongly believe that this war will turn exactly the way as the Russian war in Afganistan turned out. After suffering casualties for more than a decade, and with no good cause whatsoever, we will finally widthdraw the troops, and Iraq will become more f-ed up than ever, and start breeding terrorist organizations.
