Base Price For LS460

My rep said Friday (4/14/2006) that he thought the base price for the LS460 would be $1,000 - $2,000 over the LS430. He said he had no information from Lexus on the pricing, but that was his guess. That sounds pretty low. What do you all think the pricing will look like in October?

The base of the LS430 now is $56.5 K I think most people will be very happy if the base of a SWB LS460 is right at or under $60 K . I think $60K is a reasonable guess . . .

yeah i think BASE price of ls460 swb right below 60k is reasonable and makes sense. but keep in mind it's BASE, not sure if you can really find one without other packages

I think this car is so good, Lexus should go for top dollar. It should price the SWB = $68,000 and LWB = $72,000 at least.

lexus has long been the cut-rate brand. Now is the time to take the quantum leap on pricing. The sales might fall a little bit may be 10% at most compared to past, but overall LS 460 will comfortably outsell 7-series and S-class at these prices.

I think its time for lexus to move away from this "value-priced" image which may not be good in long term. The customers will pay extra but they will retain high resale value on LS, so we wont loose a buck.
