Default Whom do you think will steal the LS exhaust design first?

I know other companies will use. I hope Lexus uses more on their other offerings though.

well, that's only if a car comes out more than 1 yr from now then we can say they steal it? otherwise they are all in about the same design phase

i wonder who thought of it first -- the ls460 or the porsche 997 turbo?

Putting on knock-offs is shameful on a car enthusiast site, not to mention companies who make/sell knock-offs.

My guess goes to Mercedes and Audi. Maybe even Jaguar.

Actually the Lorinser kitted S550 already has these types of exhaust outlets as well(obviously its not a stock style). And doesnt the bentley Continental GT have them too??

Sometimes they can look ricey, but it looks nice on the LS.

I can't really say that MB is going to copy them since most of their cars right now are either already facelifted or redesigned.

BMW may be a good candidate.

They are not EXACTLY the same but you know what I meant. Nobody would be foolish enough to make the exact copy. They normally copy the design then twist it a little bit. The resemblance is there..

Everybody is copying the Bangle butt. It's not EXACTLY the same but it has the Bangle butt gene regardless.

I am not saying copying is bad. There is nothing wrong with copying and making it better. I just think it's a little overboard to say/claim the LS460 exhaust design and that other makers are going to copy it. common guys!

the LS exhaust looks more built into the bumper than the TL one...

either way aftermarket smells expensive

THERE ARE CARS WITH SIMILAR DESIGN... the next GTR comes to mind too..
I like it but just curious how the aftermarket exhaust will be designed for that bumper....

This one looks integrated into the bumper like the LS460, only the shape is different :

Do you know that the old Mustangs (60's) had the exhaust built into the bumper right?

Anyway, the new LS460 looks very nice but I don't think the exhaust design goes well with it. It would look much better (more clean and classy) if they were hidden. The oval/retangular design going through the bumper is ugly and gotta go...

Correct. The CGT is another example.





I like the design Lexus used. Though a very subtle detail it looks real smooth and clean.

did you notice the chrome tip is not the actual exhaust? the real tip is hidden inside of it!
