Most likely not. I'm putting an air intake and K&N filter and I think that's it for the engine. Everything else will be comfort and aesthetic mods.

No engine mods in my future, but thinking about maybe doing some exterior mods like getting a spoiler etc.

joe-z and lms intakes have already proven to do little to nothing. intake won't do much yet for ur car aside from sound. better to go with a drop in and say done.

and why does this even have a 'already turbo'd' option? lms is working on a customer's car, blitz has a twin S/C they have shown but not released or even talked about.

Can you even turbo these engines? They already have VERY high compression ratios. I'd think in order to turbo these you'd have to do some serious engine modifications before they'd be ready to accept a turbo

I have heard the same. To high of compression to run charger on a stock engine with any hope of it lasting. But im sure with some engine mods a supercharger will do fine. I would say this car is made for supercharger not a turbo tho as they are autos. The stick 250s can probley go turbo, but if i see any one rice out the 250 im going to be pissed! Should have bought the 350 dumbass. 100 HP more on and if you turbo a 250 your going to be back at the HP of a 350.

I have heard that because of the direct injection system, compression can be much higher and that the compression on the car is actually low compared to what it can handle. If this is true... I will definitely go turbo. Unless Lexus offers a 350 with awd...

Yup im local to LMS. They have one there told me to come down and check it out but havent had time. They wouldnt say to much about it except it should be out in 1-2 months and priced somewhere between 5,000-7,500. And they said Hp gains would be somewhere from 300-350 HP at the wheels.

So thats what around 50-100HP gain?

Might have been a good idea to split this poll between IS250 and IS350 owners.

As for me, I'm not planning to add a turbo. Several reasons. First, it will be difficult to add forced induction to a car with a nearly 12:1 compression ratio. Second, I doubt the ability of an aftermarket company to program all the complex engine management functions as well as Toyota has, leading to drivability quirks. Third, and perhaps most important, this car has a 70,000 mile powertrain warranty that I'd like to keep intact.

I just think it would be too much of a headache...I guess it all depends on the gains if its worth it. Don't know much about turbos but i love the sound of a blow valve psssshhhhh

uhhh, the 2IS is not the boostable car as the 1IS. The engines are on TOTAL opposite ends of the spectrum. the 1IS IS a turbo motor, without the turbos!! The 2IS engines are top notch in technology, pretty much eliminating the need for turbos in the IS 350.

People cannot just wake up in the morning and slap turbos in teh 2IS like they do the 1IS
