All the reports as of now are saying just over 3000 confirmed dead, 18000 dead and 41000 injured was a statement from Musharaff's spokesperson, there is no real crediblity there, especially if they say they have confirmed this many. And this 18000 is only representative of Pakistan's population affected. There are many also injured and killed in northern India (Kashmir region). But then again these are VERY densely populated areas, and it will surely take time to reach a final death count which will be significantly higher than 10,000.

Natural disasters are happening all over the world in the last year, from the Tsunami to Katrina to this quake. I hope everyone stays safe, and if you have family or friends in that region like I do, my best wishes go out.

Key word is ESTIMATES... They were estimating 10,000+ dead in New Orleans. Doubtful that deaths are as high as 30k.

Nagin claimed 10000 dead in New Orleans...

this guy claims 18000

Washington Post is saying 2500-3000 dead.... I dont trust foreign sources of information ESPECIALLY from 2nd or 3rd world countries; they always overestimate everything

Before you buy into this Global Warming Scam; understand this: CO2 has been shown to not be the cause of global warming but a symptom of it. In other words, CO2 is not a "greenhouse gas".

BEcause there are so many people living in these areas. The populations are very high in these cities and even rural villages. The population density is extreme.
