Help me out here gang! (Gum)

Ok, first off, my friend, who doesn't watch where he walks, apparently stepped in gum. Well as one can expect, I have gum on my passenger floor mat. What is the best way to remove the gum? I am pissed as hell too, the car is only 5 weeks old.

My second question is, what is a good interior window cleaning product for tinted windows? I know it was discussed previously, I can't find where it was discussed though.

My final question is, I have a small cut in the lower part of the rear seat cushion for the back seats. Is there any product out there to seal the cut closed? It's just a little cut in the leather, but knowing it exists pisses me off. I only wish I knew who and when it happened so I could pin it on the offender, but I am SOL

to remove gum, try using ice-cubes to freeze the gum, then carefully remove it after it hardens. it works on clothing, give it a shot.

I don't know if any of your watch the Simpsons, but this reminds me of when Lisa got gum stuck in her hair and they used ice cubes, peanut butter, etc. to try to get it out and it just turned ugly in the end. Bunch of crap on her head ;-) Just had to throw that one in, since this thread reminded me of it.

GS - The freezing of the gum will work ( unless you're Homer!!:eek: ). Don't recall an exact recommendation for the window cleaner but the common thread is to use one w/o ammonia. There used to be a leather repair product that I found at my local western store that did a decent repair on my 'Vette leather seats. It used some kind of paste/glue that U could tint to match the fabric & then had a graining sheet to restore the grain pattern. Worked pretty well but I'll have to try & find out the name for ya when I get in from work - think I might have a need for the same repair!!

use GOO GONE!!! its the best stuff. the same situation happend to me in the first week as well. i used goo gone and it worked well. can't even tell. u can find it at wal-mart or any department store. try it out

My suggestion - Turtle Wax ammonia free window cleaner - inexpensive and does a great job .
