guys i'm back! i had to get caught up with e-mails and such after being away today, but i have definite good news. let's start it off with the fact that the place i interviewed at yesterday (pa.net, a local ISP) hired me on today and i start monday. it won't be the job i stay at the rest of my life, but it does have perks. it's a 2 minute drive (couldn't be ANY closer), very causal dress code (shorts, tshirts, whatever you want), and it seems like a great bunch of people to start with. i'll post on TLN monday how it went. next, the girlfriend's dad and i worked on my car all day to get it ready for lexfest. we did the following: repainted the door pillars (i took pictures and will do a write-up very soon... i had paint chipping off on my passenger's side door), painted my wiper arms (they were chipped too) and also fixed my exhaust (i broke a clamp on the pipe going to my left muffler). i'll post pics once i have them (forgot them at the girl's house, but she's bringing them tomorrow). i may not be the most modified car at lexfest, but i'll definitely represent PA.

Ok so this was like last August, keep in mind I’m not even 18 at this point. Haven’t gone to college yet, in fact I was only a week away from leaving to go to school. This was a VERY bad idea on my part, but live and learn I guess. So we were at my friend’s house, a friend from middle school. I went to a private middle school, it was very small. In fact, my friend mentioned above, lives at the school on the top most floor. We get together there all the time since he has full access to an indoor gym where we can play ball. So there were probably 12 of us, and we were drinkin beer and playin beer pong as well. So at about 1:30am, we were all REALLY drunk at this point, and had just gotten back from Wendy’s (a DD took us). At this school, we all park in the faculty parking lot, but there is a gate at the end of the lot that leads into the soccer field so that the landscaping trucks can get in and out of the field. So we unlocked the gate, and I wanted to do donuts and tear up the soccer field. So my friend got the set of master keys and unlocked the gate. Now I hopped in ready to go, when my friend hops in the rear seat, and another in the front seat with a bag of pretzels (this is key, maybe). So I whip out into the field, tearing it up for about 5 or 6 minutes when I spin fully around and see a car on the main road directly in front of the field (this road is on the opposite side of the school’s road). Low and behold, blue and red lights come flashing on. Oh great, in a fit of glory, I popped the car into neutral, shut off the engine and turned off the lights. So now I’m sitting there as the cop drives in through another open gate on the main road into the field. He pulls up next to me, at which point I shoveled 8 pretzels into my mouth and started munching as quickly as possible. I’m chewing and I’m chewing, and I reach into the glove box to get my license, registration, and insurance out so that I can just give it to him as quickly as possible, keeping him away from the car which has GOT to be smelling like some crazy mixture of pretzels and beer. So he grabs my stuff walks half way to his car, comes back and says. “I’m going to need ID from these other two guys as well, since you are here on private property.” I quickly responded, “Well our friend lives here at this school, he’s the headmaster’s son.” So now I’m thinking, ‘OK, well, he doesn’t need to know anymore.’ Now he shines the light in the backseat at my other friend. Remember when we went to Wendy’s? Well we happened to meet some extremely hot girls at the Wendy’s, or maybe were beer blinded, but anyhow, they wanted his pants. As drunk as he was, he gave them his pair of jeans and sported his boxers for the rest of the night.

The cop is looking at him, and he’s wearing boxers. Officer asks, “Sir where are your pants?”
Quick thinkers my friends are.
He answers. “Oh we were just swimming in the pool before, these are my trunks.”
The cop believed it, and proceeds to ask me “Sir is it normal procedure for you to park here on this field?”
Of course I wasn’t gonna say no. I think he thought we were parked and just getting ready to leave, he must not have seen ANY of the donuts. So I told him it was, and he ran my license and came back a couple mins later, tipped his hat, and said “you guys have a safe night.”

I think he knew we were a little drunk, why else would he have said that? Anyway, I pulled out on to the main road, at this point driving like a Grandma. Cop follows me for about a mile before I turned onto a side street. Scariest moment of my life. I can’t imagine even where I’d be right now if I had been arrested. Live and Learn.
So we got back, told the story to everyone. This really sobered all 3 of us up quick. It was hard to think that I could have been responsible to some degree for getting all 3 of us arrested and jailed that night. Anyway, stupid as we were, we drank more. Got drunk enough again to convince the DD to take us over to the 7 Eleven. So we get there, and guess who we see. One of my friends little sister, she’s 14. It’s 4:30am. She’s 14. She was with one of her other friends, also 14, and another guy, who was old enough to drive a car, meaning he was at least 17 or 18. Now my friend knew his sister was sleeping over at her other friend’s house that night, so he thought nothing of seeing her there, and his sister told him that the guy was her other friend's brother. So we went back to the school and partied up the rest of the night until passing out. Woke up at 12:00 to my friends (the one who saw his sister at 7 Eleven) annoying ass cell phone ring. It was his dad, saying that his sister’s friends mom had called him, saying that neither her daughter nor his daughter were in their rooms when she went to wake them up. To add to this mess, they had a third friend sleeping over that night too, who was in the room. Too bad she was drunk and stoned off of HER ass when she was woken up. They are ALL 14. So my friends dad freaks out, calls her cell phone 32 times. THIRTY TWO times. So at this point, my friend tries calling his sister. She picks up, and he starts flippin’ a **** asking her where she is and all this stuff. Turns out she was at this GUY’S house (the same guy that we saw them with at 7 Eleven) and she was still drunk too. We went to pick her up immediately, and his dad met us there at this guy’s house. I am not exaggerating in the least when I say what happened next. My friend’s dad walks to the front of the house, and his daughter comes running out. He walks straight passed her, not saying a word. Walks onto the porch, out comes this guy who’s house it was. My friends dad paused, looked this guy in the eye, and Mike Tysoned the $^it out of him. A big swing with his right followed by a big swing with the left. The guy falls flat on the ground screaming in pain, I think he broke his nose. Anyway, my friends dad turns around, looks at his daughter, and SCREAMS as LOUD as he can, “GET IN THE #$%^ing CAR AND SHUT UP!”

At that point, it was best for me to go home, which is what I did. We later found out that the guy had raped the other girl that my friend’s sister was with. Scary stuff, but now my friends sister has been under parental house arrest ever since. She hasn’t been allowed to hang out with ANY of her friends, and they can’t go to her house unless her dad is home. She’s also not allowed to go anywhere but school, or be at home alone EVER. But I don’t blame her father, that’s the right move as a parent. After what happened, she needs to prove that she can be trusted to act responsibly (this is a COMPLETELY hypocritical statement coming from me, but I’ve since learned and now restrict myself to PWI only ) and as an adult.


My hands hurt from typing, so I’m gonna stop now. Hope you enjoyed the story.
It’s hard remembering that night, so much craziness, but it was still a night that I don’t think I’ll forget for the rest of my life.

By the way im checking in to TLN, but i have some bad news. Well they are not BAD but the could be better. Im going to be transfered to the morning shift at work like the rest of the normal people This means i cant stay up as late anymore and will pretty much crash for the night around 1.
