Question

Has anyone ever used touch up paint from their Lexus dealership on their SC? If so, how satisfied were u (did the color match, easy to apply, etc.) and how much did the paint cost?

When I got my car it had some in the trunk. A little bottle of it, like fingernail polish. The color matches exactly....the Diamond Pearl.

touch up paint from the dealer is the best way to make sure you match the color. just gotta be sure the dealer matches the color code of your car with the touch up paint. i forgot how much i paid but it was worth it. but for a professional finish, use langkas no blob at:

http://www.langka.com/

it's a tab expensive but way more economical than repainting or having those ugly blobs from the touch up paint. just follow the instructions and it'll make those unsightly nicks and ugly blobs dissapear! since you have white, it should be easy to use (black is a bit more tricky). but i've noticed it works better on big nicks than small ones (only because it's hard to build up the touch up paint in a small nick).

good luck!

Talking Free Paint

Was so very surprised when I went in to my local Lexus dealer, Ray Catena Lexus whom Ive never bought a car from, to purchase touch up paint and asked how much it costs and they said "no charge, we dont charge anyone for touch up paint."
Another great example of the benefits of owning a Lex.

Well i could tell you i bought touch up paint from my lexus dealer but i dont have an SC. There was some chipped paint on my front hood and when i went for my 5K mile service i asked them to touch it up so i bought the paint. The touch up paint from my lexus dealer cost i think $7 and it definately helped with some of those rock chips i had on my hood.
