Smile Lexus UK GS TV commercial

I hope you guys don't mind us Brits hanging out in your forum - much better class of enthusiast over here.

Anyway, Lexus UK updated their website with a copy of the TV commercial that's due to start showing over on this side of the pond. Thought you guys might like to see it...

Cheers,

Alex

WOW. What a great commercial. I especially like the flowing stream morphing into the back of the GS. Aside from the initial surprise factor in the two US commercials this commercial is much better that what we are running on this side of the pond IMO.

What i dont like about that commercial is that the GS is not shown there as an agressive beast like the US commercials. Isnt that what the vehicle is? Its just strolling along the pond

I thought they have RHD in the UK? Do you all drive on the left side of the road?

The GS in the commercial is driving on the left side of the road.

They are using just "The Persuit of Perfection" in the UK, instead of "The Passionate Persuit of Perfection" in the U.S. In Canada, they are still using "The Relentless Persuit of Perfection"

Over here, Lexus' brand values are reliability, luxury and refinement, with accessible technology and usable performance. They're not sold as fire-spitting performance cars. It's interesting to see how different cultures affect the way products are marketed.

Yes, we have RHD over here, which means we sit on the right-hand side of the car and drive on the left-hand side of the road. Weird, aren't we? I think the GS in the commercial may have been LHD, as it looks like that's a Europe-wide commercial (some countries in Europe drive on the right).

I think the UK commercial is very poetic and very artistic...almost magical with the natural elements fading into the lines of the car (aka a 1990 Lexus LS commercial).

Thx Alex K!

Thanks for the compliments and sharing. From my reading, Lexus really is getting a core audiance in the U.K and is gaining there slowly but surely.

Check out the GS Australia commercial -- it's exactly what you're looking for. Perfectly captures the GS IMO.

i guess i was looking at the Australia commerical, its the one with a wolf a rock hiting it and the blood coming out the side and sweat and the car breathing right? if so, its good and kinda aggressive, i like how the lights moved acting like they were eyes, thats awesome
