Default Got 26.7 MPG in my GS430!!!

Just finished a 730 mile day in my 06 GS430. I was surprised that I got and average of 26.7 MPG on my last tank . All freeway driving at 70-75 MPH. Set my 18" Yokohama Run Flats on 33 PSI and had a very enjoyable ride. The new GS actually rode as well as my 98 GS on 16" wheels on some pretty rough roads.

Haha, racking up the miles again, eh?

Fuel economy seems mighty impressive for the V8.

With the new 6-speed, the lower RPMs at the highway speed definitely helps on gas mileage.

Good for a V8, I'm sure the 6 speed tranny helps too

That is great news. The GS is an all-around car and with gas prices soaring, this is another reason to buy. Toyota has always been concerned (with Honda) with the environment and top gas milage, kudos to both.

Hmm... I've only seemed to average about 15 MPG with moslty mixed driving. No better or worse than my LS did.

This makes a lot of sense. As with my mileage (posted at http://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-third-generation/153762-gs430-mileage-per-gallon.html) I was picking up 25 trying 80-85 and definitely times of major acceleration to keep at the top of the pack.

I believe the numbers are very much so possible.
