Default Aftermarket Bodykits.. How Soon Do They Make It For Our Cars?

Just a question that I have been wondering..

Usually how long after a new body style is released do an aftermarket company starts making aftermarket aero kits for it? End of first year, 2nd etc?

For example when the 2nd Gen GS was introduced at the end of 1997, how soon after did companies make kits for it?

i think it depends on the aftermarket potential of the car. if it's high demand, i think companies jump in fast and get their stuff ready

for example, the first hyper rev mag for the aristo was in apr 99, so that's a bit more than 1 yr after the release and there are sooo many stuff for the car already

for the altezza, it's even "worse". the car just out and jan 2000 the first hyper rev mag was here

likw what rom said it really depends on how much demand. and since these cars are so expensive and new people like to ride them stock for a while before they do bodykits. you might see a front lip quick but nothing else right away..

I'll be curious to see the 3rd gen bodykits. Like the others said, will probably be a little bit before anything. In 2 years, there should be quite a few, especially with the hybrid coming out and the others will drop in price.

the new GS will be debut in japan later this yr, that's the critical time stamp. if anything big, it's going to be from japan, so many companies and resource. if the car is mod friendly and people willing to mod it like the 2gs, we will see something soon

I am really interested to see what bodykit designs they will make for the GS. I think the car has potential but I will wait to see what the aftermarket shows. Hopefully Wald or Fabulous will come out with something

same here, i am looking forward to see stuff from wald, fabulous, and jp. they should be nice

the 3gs should be pretty good for modding imho, cosmetic wise. except wheels though
