Yes that is headlamp washers. New to the US for sure. Other markets it's not.

Also new is the power folding mirror feature. Definitely helpful instead of running around the car to fold them in manually.

That's about as close to production as possible. As was already pointed out in another thread normally that box is folded closed so if you ever need any of those features while dirving getting to them and seeing them easily might be a problem - I can see it already: Customer sues Lexus cause he got in an accident trying to adjust his mirrors.

I agree. That design is counter-intuitive, IMHO. Those controls should be readily available at any time. A driver's knee could hit that thing in its opened position - depending on how low it's mounted. In addition, it could be difficult to find the controls you need at a glance since they are packed closely together. It actually reminds me of the 1989 - 1993 Toyota Cressida with its sliding audio control panel. It will be interesting to see how customers react to this feature.

I too wished that they could've done away fron fold-away controls. It's a mere nuisance more than anything else. One other major complaint about those buttons/switches is that THEY AREN'T ILLUMINATED!! This is their latest model where they incorporate more and more buttons and they still don't have them illuminated?? Is it really that hard??

Head-lamp washer and folding mirrors are good. Does anyone know what that MAX button do? Anything to do with the trip computer buttons around it? I hope the trip computer buttons were on the steering wheel too though.

How do you know that? That would be very disappointing and makes me think Lexus is cutting corners. Even a 5-year-old Buick Century has all of its buttons lit up at night. This is not acceptable, Lexus!!

Hmmmm. Headlamp washers? I wonder how many of us would use that feature. I don't even use my windshield washers because they make such a mess out of my clean car.

Standard issue on virtually all European models with fog lamps - who knows it might be cheaper for Lexus to just put it on every car instead of cutting it out on the US models.

They dont care if we use it. It is just another thing to add to the list of convience options. And when you are reading a list and their are 50 things instead of 30 u think omg im gettin so much more.. A car company rarly takes out an option due to that simple business gimmik
