BOAT photoshop request
The Heather Rae
Santa Monica, CA
Feel free to remove the little black thing under the ladder. I would like The to be at the top in the middle with Heather Rae in a slight rainbow shape in about the same area as current name, but a little bit wider
city is a direct swap.
I tried doing this on my own by layering the tan color of the boat over the letters, but you could see the lines of the layer. When you're finished with this, could you also explain how you did it? Email to tggoodrich@***.net
Thanks!

normally to erase something and blend the "blank" to the back, i use the clone stamp, smudge tool, and blur to erase the lines. in this case, the picture was big and the tone change was a bit harder to clone and smudge so i had to do something a bit different.
so i duplicated the original layer. on top layer, i cut out a block of what i want to erase, then i moved the bottom layer slightly or as much as i can to fill the space i cut out without the original title. not sure if this makes sense. anyway, i repeated the process until the title was gone.
then i used the clone stampe and smudge tool at 10% to blend in some more noticeable spots. then i used the blur tool to cover up some more spots.
in the blank picture you see below, you can tell where i was "smudging". i think a better job could be done if more time were spent on it. anyway, hope this helps.
Can you tell me more about the clone stamp- its new to me.
Also, how did you maintain the font? Did you choose one that looked right or what?
to use clone stamp, first you select it on the tool pallette. then you first want to hold "alt" and the cursor would change to a cross hair. the cross hair indicated the position you want to clone in relation to the stemp. then let go of "alt" and stamp away. while you are stamping, you will see a small cross hair indicating where you are "copying". as you move the cursor, the cross hair moves with you.
the smudge tool is very useful in erasing noticeable lines. you can set the "strength" of the smudge by using the number keys. 1 - 10 = 10% - 100%. you use the smudge tool kinda like a brush, but instead of brushing lines, you are simply "smudging" and blending the pixels that are already there.
