Default President Bush aids his bodyguard.

Bush forced to bodyguards' aid
From correspondents in Santiago, Chile
November 21, 2004
US President George W. Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders.

Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural centre where the dinner was being held in Santiago.

Mr Bush noticed the fracas after posing for pictures on a red carpet with Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation summit host, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos.

Abandoning the president and his wife, Laura, Mr Bush walked over to the agents, reached through the dispute and pulled his agent from the scrum.

The president, looking irritated, then walked away with the agent. The incident was shown on APEC television.

"Chilean security tried to stop the president's Secret Service from accompanying him," said White House deputy press secretary Claire Buchan.

"He told them they were with him and the issue was resolved."

I bet that NEVER happens again. I am suprised nothing else happened with the way the agents are trained to react to anything, including someone armed getting between them and the Prez.

That Chilean security guy may be in BIG trouble. You DON'T mess with a Secret Service Agent or a Presidential bodyguard, period....even in your own country. They were not chosen as Bush's bodyguards for nothing..........they will f- - - ing mop the floor with you. A 500-lb. Japanese Sumo wrestler wouldn't stop these guys.

good job Mr. Bush. Hes showing that hes not above all the small stuff. some other Presidents may have just contiued walking and let the SS handle all of that... that security officer is lucky hes not dead. The Secret Services does not take protection matters lightly...

When you are on Chilean soil, you are playing under their terms. But when you have Bush on your side on any foreign soil, any government knows not mess with Bush's people. I would hate to be the next Iraq.

There's a saying and road signs on Texas Highways. "DON"T MESS WITH TEXAS"
