How about this: 9 of the 10 lowest divorce rates are blue states, and most are in the Northeast, where our values suck so bad. And where are the highest divorce rates? Care to guess? 10 of the top 10 are red-ass we're-so-moral states. And while Nevada is the worst, the Bible Belt is doing its part.

But two guys making out is going to ruin marriage for you? Yeah? Seems like you're ruining it pretty well on your own. Oh, but that's ok because you go to church, right? I mean you do, right? Just being a little sarcastic....and making a point. I usually try to be polite and show some tact and etiquette in my responses, but I thought that some of the stuff in the opening post was just outrageous.
The poster (stckyfngz) was obviously trying to show outright contempt for the conservative point of view...to the point where, in the interest of fairness, I could not...and would not..... let it go unanswered.
I was pointing out that many Democrats who took this same view ended up losers on Election night...and fore a good reason. Any Democrat who thought and spoke like that DESERVED to be a loser. Not the least among them was Tom Daschle, the Senate Democratic leader, and his staff.....He (and quite a few other Democratic politicians)...lost their jobs that night......INCLUDING John Edwards himself, who had resigned from the Senate to run for VP). Kerry, by contrast, at least had his old Senate job to go back to.

And don't think that because you are a buisnessman you are immune from unemployment either. Buisnesses can fail, go bankrupt, be wiped out by storms, sued out of existance ...many things.
Jacques Nasser, chief of Ford and one of the highest-ranking buisnessmen in the country, not long ago was fired. I'm not saying you're a crook, but look at how fast Martha Stewart and the Enron people fell.

I think it's a bit extreme for my tastes, but i do side (to a lesser degree) with some of the opinions

Not immune but definately better off than most 9 - 5 clock punchers. Our business is growing at an incredible rate and shows no sign of slowing. Living in Vegas, no real storms to speak of and as far as suing or going bankrupt, we're incorporated and the business has less than $10k in assets (2 computers, a couple desks and chairs and a TV/DVD player) so we could just let them have that and open a new corporation. I have my bases well covered.

I think one thing the author of this fails to realize is that the red states do contain blue voters and the blue states contain red voters. His generalizations are way off base because he would really need to figure out how many married people in the blue states voted blue and vica versa, same for the other topics too.
