Arafat has died.
Quite sad.  He was the reason for the good relations between they and US.
It is also rumored that he never gave up the codes for his bank accounts which had millions in them. Secret accounts supposedly. Noone but he would be able to acess. Just thought that was an interesting fact that was added to the news story.

Good relations? Maybe you're being sarcastic. He blew the biggest chance he ever had with Clinton, and that's his legacy. He also horded billions and betrayed his people.

He kept the channels of communication open. That's more than a lot of the surrounding countries have done. I didn't imply there were major accomplishments, but at least he attended meetings.
