Default Trunk Opener Release Not Opening

My 93 ES300 sat in a parking lot for six months while I was deployed overseas in the Navy. When I returned, the trunk release switch on the driver's door (next to the fuel door release) was not working. I have manipulated the yellow disable in the glove compartment and it still doesn't work. Two wires lead to the trunk release. I disconnected one of them and the alarm went off, is this the same power supply as the trunk release? Manual operation using the key works fine. I've seen other threads recommend checking the fuse. Which fuse is it? The fuse holder label plates/owner's manual don't give any indication. The button feels fine (not too loose/stiff) and the fuel door release works fine. Are those two powered off the same fuse?

Unhappy Solution

I ended up jiggling the housing for the button in the glove compartment and the door button began working intermittently. I think there is a loose/grounded connection somewhere.

There's a trunk release button in there... If you push it down, the trunk won't be able to open from the switch on the door, only through a key. I found this out when I thought my trunk was stuck too, but it was just the button.
