Default From 430 to 460

Yesterday I sold my beloved LS430 and am looking for a 460. Are there any years I should avoid ?
What about known weaknesses? Any input appreciated. I will be looking mostly at the 2007-2009s.

Thanks,
Harry

Good luck in your search for the LS. I just bought a 2008 LS 460L and couldn't be happier.

No years to avoid and only a few issues that show up in these years. As with any used car purchase, finding the newest, nicest and best maintained car you can possibly afford is the best and ultimately cheapest way to go. Scroll through the last 5-10 pages of this forum and you'll see lots of threads related to your interest.

Get as late a model as you can afford. The car has been continuously improved in many ways throughout its 8 year lifespan (eg revised control arm bushing material).

Just FYI, you have to get 2010 and above for Bluetooth audio as well as a USB port in the center console. You will also need a 2010 and above if you have an I-Phone and want to be able to transfer all your contacts in order to do voice dials. Not that there aren't work-arounds for these, but it's much simpler if you get a 2010. In my opinion the navigation previous to 2010 isn't worth its weight in crap either. All depends on what's important to you though. As stated above, just make sure the car has had it's services done in a timely manner, and you really can't go wrong.
