Default B pillar part number?

I was trying to order the B pillars for my 97 es300 but the parts associate was giving me a hard time at the counter, apparently he couldn't find the exact part.

It's the pillars on the outside between the front and rear windows. Both sides now are broken. I need both along with any hardware needed, from the looks of it it seems to be clips which i think will come on the new pillars.

Thanks

75505-33010 - RH moulding
75506-33010 - LH moulding

The clips used are:
75395-33020
75396-33040

The b-pillar trim is no longer available the part is flagged as obsolete. You still might be able to find it on Ebay, if not then either a salvage yard or look on Ebay for aftermarket trim which is a stick-on that covers the factory part.

edit - something like this

Sticks onto your existing ones. The clips I'm not sure you'll have to call a Toyota or Lexus dealer. But if the b-pillar trim is no longer available then the clips might not be either.

Got the clips today and tried to install them on one side only to find out the bracket for the clips is broken...2 of the 4 are broken...trying to come up with a solution now.

Those pieces are very fragile, I've tried removing them from cars at the salvage yards and they almost always break. This stuff is probably your best bet, put a dab of it on the broken area and on the clip. This might also work.

That's what I'm thinking. However gluing plastic is iffy can't say if it would hold long term. But what choice do you have?

Oh man I am glad I bought one of each side of these! They must have just run out of these not long ago. The original ones peel.

i'm going to try the dealership here and also a wrecking yard but for now i used 3m strong double sided tape and it's on there but who knows....no idea why they'd stop making a part for whatever reason.

I was curious to see if those parts are still available in Canada, which is where I am. So I called the Lexus dealer here in Montreal, and he advised me that those parts are definitly still available, and that they come with the clips.

In fact I told them that someone in Californa was told that they have been discontinued, so he looked it up On line and said there are 50 of them sitting in a Lexus California distribution center.

Go figure.

Phil

Yes still available at southbay Lexus... retails 105 each. Didn't think they'd discontinue a part like that without having a solution to either fixing it or replacing it with another part.
